Good morning everyone...
I can't believe how these month's are flying and that we're already here in September and it's my time to share my latest post with you all here on the Craftwork Cards blog.
Well, I'm sure you all watched the very talented and lovely Julie, on Create and Craft yesterday and if you watched very closely you might have seen a few of the samples that I made for the shows. So today, I thought it would be lovely to show you them in detail and in close up and here they are. There's lots of pictures, so grab a cuppa and enjoy...
For my first share today, I made a little shadow box ornament for Christmas using papers from the absolutely stunning Bellissima paper pad and Warren Christmas Pad.
I created my shadow box from old chipboard packaging and used the Tim Holtz Postage Stamp die from Sizzix to die cut the shapes, which I then layered on top of one another to give me the basic shadow box shape. I painted the inside and outside of the box with white acrylic paint.
Once the box was dry, I added my picture of Warren, into the centre of the box and added dots of Liquid Pearls and some Flower Soft to the base to give the look of snow. Next, I die cut a piece of acetate and another piece of chipboard covered with the patterned paper and stuck these to the front of my box to form a cover.
For the feet, I added painted cotton spools, with strips of paper wrapped around the centre.
I added die cut flowers to the front of the box, some holly leaves that I punched out from embossed card and a die cut message.
Finally, because no Christmas is complete without a touch of glitter, I added some Stickles Glitter Glue to the holly leaves for a touch of sparkle.
For the next project, I made a matching card using a 148mm scalloped card blank and some more of those gorgeous Bellissima papers.
Because you get so many images of Warren in the pad, I decided it would look really nice to decoupage the message and his little pom pom hat over the top of the original image to give some depth to the card and to give the appearance that he's looking out of the Quilted Polaroid Frame.
I added some die cut bunting, a stacked rosette and some twine to complete this card and then popped some sparkle onto his little hat.
Last but by no means least is my third share for today and for this card, I used the stunning Fancy Edge Embossed Cards in the holly design.
Again, I decorated the card using papers and die cuts from the Bellissima range and added Candi and punched holly leaves to complete the card.
I also decorated the inside of this card with some more of the papers and die cuts.
If you were one of the lucky people to buy these gorgeous goodies then I really hope I've inspired you with these makes and you love what I've created!!
